Vincent (Vince) Jack Bullard lived a life defined by curiosity, dedication, and a caring heart. Born on January 1, 1979, in Rockford, Illinois, Vince grew into a remarkable person whose love of learning, adventure, and humanity touched lives around the world.
Vince’s passion for history, culture, and the natural world carried him across the globe, where he built lasting connections with people from all walks of life. Through Couch Surfing, he welcomed travelers into his home and found hospitality in the homes of others, forming friendships and collecting stories from every corner of the world.
A true citizen of the world, Vince explored more than 83 countries and spent years teaching English in South Korea, Thailand, South America, Turkey, and Russia. It was during his time in Moscow that he met the love of his life, Anna, whom he married in 2018. Kind, funny, and intelligent, Vince was deeply devoted to his family and cherished the connections he shared with those he loved.
His thirst for knowledge was matched by his academic achievements. After graduating from Chaparral High School in Las Vegas, Vince studied abroad in Thailand before earning his bachelor’s degree from DePaul University, where he received the Dean’s Award for Scholastic Excellence. He went on to earn two Master of Education degrees from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), in Curriculum and Instruction and Special Education. His academic excellence also earned him induction into the Golden Key International Honor Society and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
Vince found his calling as a special educator and Special Education Instructional Facilitator at Katz Elementary School in Las Vegas. Known for his intelligence, efficiency, and unwavering work ethic, he became a trusted and valued resource for both staff and students. His dedication, compassion, and commitment to helping others succeed were recognized through numerous nominations and honors, including the Heart of Education award. For Vince, education was more than a profession; it was an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Outside the classroom, Vince was an enthusiastic sports fan who enjoyed baseball, basketball, football, and soccer. He was especially fond of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Vegas Golden Knights, and Las Vegas Aces. Beneath his adventurous spirit and sharp intellect was a gentle heart, with a particular fondness for children and animals.
Vince faced many challenges throughout his life, meeting them with courage and perseverance. He continually sought to learn from his experiences, grow as a person, and deepen his understanding of others. His desire to turn hardship into personal growth strengthened his ability to connect with people and offer support and compassion to those around him.
On Sunday, October 11, 2026, Vince passed away peacefully at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by his family. He was 47 years young.
Vince was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Bullard, and his grandparents.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Anna; his mother and stepfather, Kim and Ron Bateman; his siblings, Kelly Mauricio (Jason) and William (Bill) Bullard; step siblings Kerry Wilson (David) and Kyle Bateman (Marcia); his parents-in-law, Andrey and Natalia Terskikh; his cherished nieces and nephews; extended family members; and his beloved pups, Stella and Beasley.
Vince was truly one of a kind. His insatiable curiosity, brilliant mind, adventurous spirit, generous nature, and deep compassion for others made the world a richer place. From the classrooms where he inspired students to the faraway places where he forged friendships, Vince left an enduring mark on countless lives. His legacy of warmth, intellect, creativity, and generosity of spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
