Robert Eugene Walls, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 78 in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his family by his side. He was born on January 26, 1946, to Eugene and Connie Walls in Sterling, Illinois.
Robert led a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and service to his country. He enlisted in the Army in 1964 and devoted 22 years of his life to serving his nation before retiring in 1986. Robert was an avid golfer with a passion for country music and dancing. Robert was known for his vibrant personality and ability to light up any room. He had a special talent for making friends wherever he went and was always the life of the party.
A loyal Bears fan, Robert cheered on his favorite team through thick and thin, always hopeful for a better season. His love story with his wife, Jenni Logan, began in Killeen, Texas, blossoming into a beautiful union that lasted 38 years. Together, they enjoyed traveling, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Connie Walls, and his brother, Eugene R. Walls.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jenni Walls, his children Pam Walls and Bobby Walls, his stepchildren Penny (Bud) Boss, Sherry (Barney) Willborn, Annette (Ronnie) Archuleta, Michael (Jennifer De Marco) Klug, and Kelly (Lisa Frumkes) Greer, as well as his siblings Pat (Barb) Walls, Kenny (Nelda) Walls, Steven (Lisa) Walls, Theresa (Lisa) Walls, and Kathy Walker. He also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who will always cherish his memory.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held at the Southern Nevada Veteran Memorial Cemetry on Monday, June 17, 2024.
Robert Eugene Walls will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May his kind soul and joyful spirit continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, Robert.
