Michael Smith

Michael Paul Gareth Smith, 58, passed away unexpectedly in his home in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 20, 2022. He was born September 29, 1963, in Kingston, Jamaica to parents: Vernal and Beryl (née Allen) Smith. At the age of six, he emigrated to Alberta, Canada with his parents and siblings.

He graduated, with honors, from Leduc Composite Highschool in Leduc, Alberta in 1979. He went on to study Computer Engineering at the University of Alberta, earning his Bachelors of Science in the field. Following that, he received a Masters of Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Michael moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in 2011, where he met Zelluyah Gaitho and the result was the birth of their daughter, Zeria Smith in 2012, the fulfillment of his dream.

Michael is predeceased by his brother, Andrew Smith (2007).

He is survived by his parents: Vernal and Beryl Smith, his sister, Dianne Smith, her husband, Anthony Mosby and their daughter, Destiny, his sister, Michele Smith and her fiancé, William Kirchoff, his beloved daughter, Zeria Smith and her mother, Zelluyah Gaitho, his nephew, Drew Temple Smith and, niece, Tyra Temple Smith.

Michael Paul Gareth Smith, you will be missed for the love you had for friends and family. Even though you have departed this life, you will never depart our hearts.
