Life Story of Maxine Stewart
Maxine Stewart was born on March 6, 1950, to the union of Tomie and Aslean Jones Williams in
Monroe, Louisiana. She completed her primary education at Carroll Junior High School and her secondary education at Carroll Senior High School, graduating from the Ouachita Parish School District in Monroe, Louisiana. She continued her education through self-directed learning and honed her skills as a homemaker, dedicated to caring for her children, husband, and household. Maxine was the seventh oldest out of nine siblings. She had seven brothers and a sister. Maxine accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age.
In 1963, Maxine relocated from Monroe, Louisiana to Oakland, California. The following year, in 1964, she welcomed her first beautiful daughter into the world. In 1965, she met Griffin Stewart Jr., the love of her life. Together, they made the decision to start a new chapter in Las Vegas, Nevada, where they could build their life together. On August 16, 1970, Griffin and Maxine exchanged vows and became husband and wife. Their union was blessed with five children, including one son and three daughters.
Maxine's faith was a cornerstone of her life, leading her to become a member of Victory Baptist Church before transferring her membership to Kell St. Baptist Church. In her free time, she found solace in cooking, baking, and cherishing moments with her beloved family.
