Life and Legacy of Mary McBride
Mary McBride was born May 15, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois to Luevenea Ray Stewart and James McBride.
Mary attended Venice High School in Venice, California. She relocated to Las Vegas, NV in 1970 with her five girls, and eventually found the love of her life, James Logan. They eloped in 1998.
Mary's love and passion for softball led her to join a women's league in her early adult years.
Mary began her career and retired in the casino industry as a Blackjack dealer from the Las Vegas Flamingo Hilton.
Mary accepted Christ and was baptized by the late Rev. Donell J. Horn at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Las Vegas, NV.
She loved her family and was the life of the party at a family gathering. Anyone who knew Mary knew not to call during her game show times as she enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune daily.
Her favorite pastimes were solving crossword puzzles and reading scriptures from her Bible.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband; James Logan, mother; Luevenea Ray Stewart, father; James McBride, sisters; Addie Ruth Winton and Sally Smith, brothers; Lee Stewart, London Tunstell and Kenneth Williams and granddaughter LaToya Hildreth
Mary leaves to cherish her memories: Daughters, Faye Smith, Lawanda Jackson, Lanita Jackson, Judith Jackson, Carlos Cheatham (Frederick Coleman), all of Las Vegas, NV, Sister; Lillie Jones (DeRoy McDowell) of Dayton, Ohio, 15 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
