Marvin Frison was born on February 10, 1945, in Ballinger, Texas, to his proud parents,
Alverice Frison and Earline Dixson. He received his formal education at Lovington High School
in Lovington, New Mexico, and graduated with the Class of 1964.
After completing his education, Marvin relocated to Portland, Oregon, where he met Betty
Jean Taylor, and they embarked on a journey of marriage. Together, they were blessed with
two children and a host of stepchildren, grandchildren: DeAndre Frison, Reginald Perry, Alize
Perry, great-grandchildren: Royal Frison, Laniyah Young, Lamarcus Young Jr., O’nesty Frison,
Loyality Frison, Salina Frison & Tearra Frison. The two decided to part ways and divorce.
Marvin later remarried Teressa Pierce. He was employed as a Chemist at Vitality Labs.
On April 4, 2010, Marvin accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. He became a member of
Northeast Community Fellowship, where he found solace and unity.
In his leisure time, Marvin found joy in various activities such as fishing, playing Dominos,
listening to music, and engaging in basketball and other sports.
Sadly, on Saturday, December 9, 2023, Marvin departed this life. He was preceded in death by
his wife, Thereace Frison; father; Alverise Frison; mother; Earline Dixson; brother; Claud Edward
Frison; his ex-wife, Betty Jean Frison, and one of his sons, Anthony Turner Marvin's memory
will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
He leaves to cherish his memories three sisters: Rose Frison, Edith Glass, and Kathern Staples;
his son, Darryl Frison; daughter, LaShawnda Ramirez (Frison); step-children: Angie Turner,
Cynthia Turner, Felicia Turner, Anthony Miles, Veronica Miles, and The Pierce Family: Claud
Pierce, Greg Pierce, Georgan Robinson, Debbie Pierce, Pauline Pierce, Andre Pierce, Tasha
Pierce, Eboney Baker, Michael Baker, and William Pierce; three grandchildren: DeAndre Frison,
Reginald Perry, and Alize Perry; six great-grandchildren: Royal Frison Laniyah Young, Lamarcus
Young Jr., O’nesty Frison, Loyalty Frison, Salina Frison and Tearra Frison.
Marvin's memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to have
known him. He will be missed but never forgotten.
