When you think of the word “BEAUTIFUL” you be reminded of Josephine Wesley-Matthews
Mama Jo was given unto the world on March 16th, 1947 and The Gates of Heaven opened up for her return on June 7th, 2023 at the “GRACEFUL” age of 76.
One last thing she mentioned to us was to pray over her as she rested peacefully.
Josephine was born in Monroe Louisiana to the late Johnnie Lee Perry and Ebbie Murray. This beautiful soul was raised knowing the importance of showing the love of “GOD” and love of the family, and surely, she spread the love wherever she went.
Josephine found the love of her life, Leonard Matthews and relocated to Las Vegas Nevada in 2002.
Joesphine clearly was a colorful spirit, highly favored, and a God fearing woman.
This Angel was not disguised, but you vividly seen a halo above her head from the moment you meet her.
She was always found expressing compassion, gentle kindness and you’d become captured just by hearing her beautiful soft voice.
Mama Jo’s mission while on earth was to teach us the powerful Word of God. Uniquely, she kept a pen in her purse to write everything that interested her. She was always found jotting down “INSPIRING” spiritual notes from every sign god gave her.
This beautiful soul was a fashionista, whom loved shopping, matching from head to toe, with accessories to add more flavor! She adored music, dancing, cooking, and having a good time.
Josephine was the person to call when you needed “UPLIFTING”, a good laugh. And especially for prayer. Through prayer, she kept her family bonded. as God assigned her as their praying vessel.
She did NOT leave behind but stands beside, her husband Leonard Ray Matthews, 7 Children: Sandra (Clarence), Daniel, Vickie (Robert), Juan, Tausha, Leonard Ray Jr., and Latoria.
Josephine is living in the hearts of many brothers and sisters including: James Perry & Jeannette Perry, a significantly great amount of cherished grandchildren & great-grandchildren, friends and several more loved family members of Louisiana, Texas, and California.
The scripture, St. John 3:16 was the rise of Josephine! “For God so love the world the He gave his only begotten Son.”
Josephine “LOVED” the world and left a mark in our lives and in impact in our hearts that will never be faded or erased.
Fly high, Dance in the wind, Soar above the clouds and continue to watch over us.
You are “FOREVER” in our hearts.
