Johnny Howard Edwards was born on March 13, 1954, in Walnut Grove, Mississippi to Allean Langdon and Ernest Day, who preceded him in death.
Howard attended Murphy High School in Walnut Grove, Mississippi and then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1973. Later in life, Howard obtained his GED and learned to speak three different languages. He was very smart and talented and was a jack of all trades. Howard worked in the automotive field as a mechanic for many, many years because he loved to work on cars which he retired from over five years ago.
Howard had a love for music and knew how to play many musical instruments such as the trumpet, the flute, bongo drums, guitars etc. which he taught himself how to play. Howard captured the hearts of everyone he came in contact with and had an endless love for his entire family.
Howard came from a very big family. Preceding him in death is his parents: Allean Langdon-Cribbs (Mother), Ernest Day(Father), Linda Edwards-Clark (Sister), Mac Arthur Hill (Brother), Fannie Pearl-Day (Sister), RoseAnn Washington (Sister), Ernest Lee Day (Brother), and Ashley Holmes- Lindley (Daughter).
He leaves to cherish his memories his children: Johnny Howard Jr., John R. Fay, Antwane Reed, Kendrick Davis, Kendra Davis, Shel-La Felicia Edwards, Sicily Edwards, Amber Holmes-Turner, Joshua Edwards, and Venus Edwards; his brother, Robert Hill Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; sisters: Bettye Cribbs of Jackson, MS, Dottie (Eddie) Harris of Walnut Grove, MS, Meoshus Johnson of Walnut Grove, MS, Willie Ruth Day - (Jimmie) Moore of Flint, MI, Linda Sue Talbert Day of Greenwood, MS, Sandra B. Day of Chicago, IL, and Diane “tweety bird” Walker of Shelby, MS; a special cousin like a brother, James David (Elaine) Towner of Walnut Grove; his brothers: Curtis Lee Day, Baton Rouge, LA, Brother- Stanley (Keisha)Talbert of Union, MS, Billy Spivey of Shelby, MS, and Gary Day of Brentwood, TN; along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
