John Potter

John Richard Demetrius Potter was born to Johnnie Potter, Jr. and Mrs. Ellen Potter on June 30, 1972 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He accepted Christ early on in life while attending New Light Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Western High School in 1991.

John started his first job working at the Horseshoe Hotel as a fry cook and later moved to work for the Fiesta Hotel. In 2015, John changed careers to the Liquor Industry and started working as a stock person. He was promoted to a routine truck driver with Lee's Discount Liquor. John remained employed with Lee's until he was diagnosed with his illness in August of 2020.

On Tuesday, December 8, 2020, John transitioned this life to be with the Lord. He was proceeded in death by his parents; Johnnie Potter, Jr. and Ellen M. Potter, his sister; Cassandra Ann Potter, grandmother; Odie Dean and brother; Gary Lane Potter.

John leaves to cherish his memory his brother; Randy (Keitha) Potter of Las Vegas, NV, sister; Debra (Roy) Jimerson of Las Vegas, NV, four children; Dez'John, RaQuan, Janea and Neveah Potter all of Las Vegas, NV, one grandson, Teh'Keyrion Potter of Las Vegas, NV, three nieces, two great nephews, a great niece and a host of aunts, cousins and friends.

John Richard Demetrius Potter, you will forever live in our hearts. You will be remembered for the love you had for your family and your friends.
