John Thomas Harper, was born in Kingsland, Arkansas on September 27, 1935 to the union of Mr. Forney and Elva Harper.
John grew up in Kingsland, Arkansas where he attended elementary school and later along with his family he moved Fordyce, Arkansas where he graduated high school.
In 1951, John joined the United States Army Reserve where he was honorably discharged. And made Las Vegas, Nevada, where he worked as a roofer. Upon retirement he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and planting a garden.
He departed this life on Wednesday, November 28, 2012.
John leaves to cherish his memories two sons Charles Anthony Harper of North Carolina and John C. Harper (Elaine) of Jasper, Texas; one granddaughter Jasmine Harper; one grandson Jamillo Harper and one great-grandson Prince Harper all of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters Estella Hines of Las Vegas, Nevada, Cleo Harper of Fordyce, Arkansas; two brothers Clemmie Harper of Fordyce, Arkansas, and Emmitt Harper of Los Angles, California.
He was preceded in death by his father Forney; mother Elva; two brothers Troy, and Jewel; one sister Jessie Mae Collins and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends
