It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeree' Joan Nielson, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Jeree’ was born on October 2, 1957, in Woodward, Oklahoma, and departed this life on October 4, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was 67 years old.
Jeree' was the cherished daughter of Neal and Judith Walker, who instilled in her the values of kindness, strength, and resilience. She was a devoted sister to Jerry Walker and a loving sister-in-law to Katherene Brookshire. Jeree' was a proud aunt to her nephews, Mathew Walker and Derrek Brookshire, who loved her dearly. Jeree' cherished deep and loving connections with her extended family in Oklahoma throughout her life.
On June 1, 1975, Jeree' married the love of her life, Daniel Nielson. Their marriage, which spanned over 49 years, was a testament to their unwavering commitment and deep affection for one another. Together, they built a beautiful family that Jeree' adored. She is survived by her husband, Daniel, as well as her children: Aimee Tinkle, Sandra Moreira, and Joshua Nielson, each of whom carry forward her legacy of love and strength.
Jeree' was also a devoted mother-in-law to her children's spouses: Ron Tinkle, Tiffany Nielson, and Alan Moreira. Her grandchildren, including Allen Tinkle, Alecia Tinkle, Cameron Nielson, Ethan Nielson, Mazie Nielson, Koa Moreira, and Kale'a Moreira, were the lights of her life. Jeree' took immense joy in being a grandmother, and her love for her grandkids was boundless.
Professionally, Jeree' was dedicated to her career in nursing. She earned her Associates in Nursing and worked as a registered nurse, with her most recent position at Legacy Mount Hood Hospital in the emergency room. Her passion for helping others was evident in her work, and she cares for every patient with the same fierce love she had for her family.
Jeree' was known for her many interests and hobbies. She found joy in reading, riding motorcycles, and traveling to beautiful beach destinations. Her adventurous spirit allowed her to experience life to the fullest, and she was always eager to share her stories with loved ones.
Those who knew Jeree' can attest to her indomitable spirit and her capacity for love. She was a strong woman who cared deeply for everyone around her. Her fierce loyalty and protective nature made her a formidable ally and one would definitely not want to be on her bad side. Her heart was as big as her personality, and she touched numerous lives with her kindness and generosity.
Jeree' is leaving behind a legacy of strength and love that will carry on through her family and friends. As we grieve her loss, we also celebrate the in- credible life she led.
