Deacon Irvin Blake, age 67, is a native of Charleston, South Carolina, has been a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada since 1993. The first born son to the union of Christopher Sr. and the late Edie Bell Blake.
Irvin was a retired Staff Sergeant of the United States Air Force and retired Correctional Lieutenant of the State of Nevada, Department of Corrections.
Irvin was a member of Nehemiah Ministries Christian Church and served as an ordained Deacon, under the leadership of Pastor Kelcey West.
Irvin was proceeded in death by his mother, Edie Bell Blake, and youngest brother, Christopher Blake.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 24 years; Pastor Barbara Blake, two daughters; Ivory, and Vanessa Blake, and one granddaughter; Amari Jackson, of Las Vegas, Nevada, father; Christopher Blake Sr., of Charleston, South Carolina, two sisters; Bernice Hall, of Charleston, South Carolina, Janice (Alfonso) Green, of Fort Washington, Maryland, one brother; Herbert (Linda) Blake, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, and sister-in-law, Verna Blake. Two Godchildren; Zanna Rose and Richmond Cole Johnson, of Jackson, Mississippi. One son, two daughters, and seven grandchildren, of Charleston, South Carolina. Irvin will truly be missed by all those who loved him.
