Helen Marie Jones was born June 23, 1939, in Memphis Tennessee to the late, Jim Jones and Evelyn Chris, she graduated from Allen white high school in Whiteville, Tennessee.
She had her first daughter Carolyn Cox in Memphis Tennessee 1956 later on that year relocated to California where She became a glass inspector for Libbey Glass Company. She had her first son Donald Ray Jones in 1959. Shortly after that, she married Frank Nettles. Together they had four children.
Helen was very spontaneous, compassionate, friendly, supportive, and a very good cook. She welcomed everyone in her home, from family to friends, even sometimes strangers. Her heart was so big and she loved so hard that her heart wouldn’t allow anyone to go without.
Some of the things Helen enjoyed most were her porcelain glass dolls and her collected variety of family and friend photos. She also loved her music and dancing. Her favorite artists were D'Angelo and her favorite songs by him were “You’re my lady “ “Brown Sugar “. She also loved her some Jon B. Her last years of her life she dedicated to her great-grandchildren that she cared dearly about. In her free time, she volunteered at the food bank helping others and socializing with her friends. She will truly be missed by so many.
She leaves her legacy behind to her five children Donald Ray Jones, Annette Nettles, Linda Nettles, Darryl Nettles, Quintin Nettles and her 23 grandkids, 21 great-grandkids. LLHJ
