Ethel Young

Ethel M. Young was born to the late Christine Marie Rockett and Willie B Wise Sr. On November 2, 1946, in Attala County, Mississippi. Ethel was raised in Greenville, Mississippi where she attended high school. At an early age, she became a member of King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late great Reverend Willie B Wise Sr.

Ethel wanted a change in pace. She set her sights on Job Core and moved to Baltimore, Maryland. In 1969, she made one final move to Las Vegas, Nevada. It was there that she met and married Louis Young who preceded her in death September 1999.

While living in Las Vegas, she had various jobs. Her career field was most notable for being employed prior to retirement by Circus Circus Las Vegas Hotel & Casino from 1980 to 2008.

Ethel loved singing, dancing, reading, playing instruments and spending time with her family and friends.

Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Young; her, mother, Christine Marie Rockett; her father, Willie B Wise Sr.; two brothers: Bobby Wise, Willie B Wise Jr; and sister, Ester Lee Wise Stokes.

On Saturday, May 2nd, 2020, Ethel transitioned this life at the age of 73 with peace and grace to be with the Lord. She leaves to cherish fond memories to her loving three daughters: Tina Riley ( Junior ), Cassandra Crooms ( Ryan ), and Denise Young ( Geno ); one son, Henry Young all of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters: Lovie Sanders of Las Vegas, Nv, and Minnie Clay of Tupelo, MS; three brothers: Paul Wise, Jimmie Richardson, both of Las Vegas, NV and Charlie Richardson of California; two sister-N-laws: Diane Watkins and Bernetta Allen of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, family and friends.

Ethel M. Young, you will forever be in our hearts and be remembered for the love that you had for all your friends and family
