A Time to be Born
On April 4, 1959, a beautiful baby girl named ElNora L. Fluker was born to the union of Willie and Ann Fluker in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her parents provided her with the nurturing and guidance needed to withstand life's challenges.
A Time to Plant
ElNora accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She attended Second Baptist church with her mother, Ann. She later became an active member of Progressive Pilgrim Fellowship. ElNora was a great missionary feeding the homeless and participating in the Faith Bible Institute. Elnora was blessed with a beautiful voice, and she shared that voice with everyone singing in her church choir on Sundays. If you did not hear that voice in the choir, you heard her in the grocery store, department store, and anywhere else; the spirit moved her to sing. She used her voice to bring people to Christ. She was affectionately called "The Big Show" because she was a little woman with a big voice who shared it with the world.
ElNora loved her four children, but her love did not stop there. Her love was extended to other families by caring for and educating their children. She was like a mother to everyone, with the ability to comfort others during their struggles. She was tough on you sometimes, but it was always from a place of love, compassion, empathy, and encouragement. She was "lil mama". She spoiled everyone and they spoiled her back. She knew all she had to do was say what she wanted and she would have several packages from UPS and Amazon at her doorstep. She made everybody feel special whether she knew you for one minute or 20 years. She enjoyed making you laugh by telling jokes, and she would keep you engaged. ElNora never met a stranger and considered most people to be family.
ElNora loved and cherished family and friends. When the holidays came around, everyone knew it would be a good time full of food, fun, love, and laughter. She loved Christmas and showed the world with bright lights and snowmen everywhere. Her home was known as the Christmas universe.
A Time to Love
ElNora L. Fluker was united in holy matrimony with Leroy Curry on September 9, 1985 in Las Vegas, NV. Their union was blessed with two beautiful children, Anthony and Victoria. ElNora was also blessed with two other daughters through family, Charree Chantell Fluker-Holloway (Sister) and Amber Fluker-Holloway (Niece). She also gained an entire family through her union with Leroy, who she loved and cherished.
A Time to Sleep
Life should be measured not by the number of years but by the love shared, the memories made, and the blessings received. On February 6, 2023, God, in His infinite wisdom, transitioned ElNora L. Fluker Curry from her earthly home to her Heavenly home. She will truly be missed by those she touched.
