Daisy A. Cox departed this life on Sunday April 5, 2020. Daisy was born on May 9, 1939, to late Sidney Cox and Carrie Elizabeth McCallum in Homestead, Pennsylvania. She received her nursing degree in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She worked in the healthcare industry for over 45 years before retiring. Daisy moved to California in the early 1960’s. She relocated to Las Vegas, to live with her daughter in the early 2000’s.
Daisy was preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings: Carrie, Margaret, Roberta, Bertha, Edward, Barbara, Charles, George, and Jimmy; and two grandchildren: DeAndre and Kenya.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories two sons: Harold Clark of Altadena, CA, and Theodis Parker of Los Angeles, CA; her daughter, Carolyn Parker of Las Vegas, NV; four sisters: Scobie of Detroit MI, Hattie, Betty and Hazel of Pittsburgh PA; five grandchildren: Charisa, William, Monique, Shirlay, Amani, Nia and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Daisy was a nurturing loving woman to all. If you needed a place to shower, eat or stay you were always welcomed. If you needed advice, be careful, she would tell you the truth. Her presence will be missed but her memory will live on in the lives of those she touched.
