Clifton E. Tolbert was born to Della and George H. Tolbert on December 13, 1947, in Natchitoches, Louisiana. He was the youngest child. While he was still a baby the family migrated to Texas where he was raised in Nacogdoches enjoying summers with his grandparents.
When Clifton was a teen, he oved to Los Angeles, CA where he resided with hid eldest brother, Kenneth Tolbert. He attended Venice High School. After graduation he worked for the US Postal Service as a mail carrier. A short time later he began a 22 year career at the Rapid Transit Authority.
Clifton lived in Los Angeles most his life and was married Denise Tolbert. Later he moved to Las Vegas, NV where he married Gwen (Charles) Tolbert and they resided together until his passing.
Clifton was always up for going to eat a good meal, play a game of pool (his favorite) or some dominoes. A day with Clifton was an adventure, you never knew where you would end up. In his pastime he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends every chance he had and it was never a dull moment.
On January 7, 2021, Clifton Tolbert transitioned this life to be with the Lord.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Gwen, his three children: Angela, Chance, and Tammy, his brother, Kenneth Tolbert, his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of extended family.
Clifton E. Tolbert, a son, a brother, a father, a husband, and a friend, you will be missed yet loved and remembered in the hearts of all of us.
