Clarence Hayes

Clarence Isadore Hayes was born on January 15,1938.4 years on the same day as his older brother, Carl (Jack Hayes).Born to John Hayes and Amanda (WIlliams) Hayes, in Cairo, Illinois. He attended school in Columbia, Missouri, where he enjoyed playing basketball where he graduated from, Douglas High School. His Intention was to go to Wichita State College but decided to join the U.S. Air Force where he served 4 years. He took up residency in Denver, Colorado, Where he married his wife, Vonnia Boggs. They raised one daughter, Sonja Hayes. He worked for the Denver Mint Co. Then took a job with the airlines as an ATR Traffic Controller. Once he retired he then relocated to Las Vegas, NV. Clarence is preceded in death by his parents John I. Hayes and Amanda E. (Williams) Hayes, his brothers Carl (Jack) Hayes, Rev. Raymond W. Hayes. HIs sisters; Julie C. Hayes, Margaret Kay Hayes, Jewell Bentley and Phyllis Williams. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Vonnia Hayes, daughter Sonja Hayes. Siblings; William (Cornelia) Hayes, Evelyn Lee, Sister in law, Clestine Hayes, all of Columbia, Missouri. As well as Clara Harris of Peoria, Illinois and a host of nieces and nephews.

He will be laid to rest Friday July 21.2023, at Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery
