Carl Matthew Monday was born on October 1, 1976, in Bethesda, MD. While in high school at Lincoln
located in Ypsilanti MI., he developed a love for music and was in the marching band playing trumpet.
Sienna Heights University in Adrian, MI. recruited Carl to run indoor and outdoor track while obtaining a
Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Development.
Carl joined the United States Navy where he achieved the rate of Navy Air crewman Third Class (AW3).
AW3 Monday was a non-acoustic AWs, also known as "sensor 3s", that flew in P-3 Orion aircraft. A few highlights of his military career included being a pistol marksman, receiving the Flag Letter of
Commendation and completion of Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE).
In 2015, he moved to Las Vegas, NV. On New Year’s Day of 2017, Carl married the love of his life, Laura
Ramlogan. Their union was blessed with two beautiful children: Cyle and Cara. Carl chose to be a stay-
at-home Dad dedicating himself to them always. His charismatic personality brought him many good
friends and those that knew him many good memories.
His hobbies included collecting sports and fantasy cards. He would allow us to try and beat him
gamming or at board games with scrabble being one of his favorites. He showed his love to us by
creating delicious meals with his own garden produce.
On Saturday, September 2, 2023, Carl departed this life surrounded by family and friends. Proceeding
him in death was his birth mother, Marsha McCloud.
Carl is survived by his wife, Laura Ramlogan; son, Cyle Monday; daughter, Cara Monday; father, Darrell
Monday, mom, Tamela Monday, and brother, Jacob Monday.
The family of Carl Monday, appreciates your prayers and all the acts of kindness shown at this time of
bereavement. We will miss Carl however, we know he accepted Christ and is rejoicing in Heaven.
