Betty Casey

Betty Gapasin Casey was born September 29, 1946, at Hundred Islands, Alaminos, Pangasinan, Philippines to Bartolome Gapasin, Sr. and Margarita Obenza Gapasin. She received her formal education from San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, California. Betty went on to further her education at California State University in Turlock, California .

Betty accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior at Clarkfield Baptist Church at the age of 36, where she also served with the Missionary Group Youth with a mission in the Philippines for 25 years.

On October 8, 1983, Betty Gapasin was united in holy matrimony to Richard Casey Jr. at Truth Memorial Southern Baptist Church in Long Beach, California. Their union was blessed with two children: Christopher and Hannah.

Then on September 7, 1972, Betty was commissioned into the Nurse Corps in the United States Air Force. In the Air Force, she held the following positions: a Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse, Medical Crew Director with Aeromedical Evacuation, and Readiness Officer with the Texas Air National Guard. She served her country for almost 22 years and was honorably discharged on June 29, 1994.

In her pastime, she enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was am avid member of Youth with A Mission Philippines.

Betty departed this life on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. She was proceeded in death by her parents: Bartolome Gaspasin Sr. and Margarita Obenza.

Betty leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Richard P. Casey Jr. of 38 years; son, Christopher Michael Gapasin Casey; daughter, Hannah Theresa Gapasin Casey and a host of family and friends.

Betty Gapasin Casey, you will always be remember because of your love that you had for your family and your friends. Even though you have departed this life, you will never depart our hearts and thoughts.
