Steffon Ragland

We gather here to honor and remember the brief but impactful life of Steffon Melvin Jasiri Ragland, affectionately known as Baby Melly. Born on October 11, 2026, in Las Vegas, NV, USA, his light shone bright and beautiful, much like the city of his birth. Though Baby Melly was with us for only a brief moment, he touched the hearts of everyone around him with his endearing innocence and the promise of a life just beginning. As the poet Robert Frost beautifully wrote, "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." And so, too, does the spirit of our beloved Steffon.

In his short time with us, Baby Melly became a cherished member of the Ragland family, a beacon of joy and wonder. His presence was a reminder of the fragility and preciousness of life, and his spirit will forever be a part of the family tapestry. While he may not have had the time to accomplish significant feats or build a long life story, his legacy is the love and unity he brought to his family and the indelible mark he left on their hearts. As Maya Angelou beautifully said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Baby Melly made us all feel loved, cherished, and incredibly blessed.

Steffon "Baby Melly" Ragland is survived by his loving mother, Nancy Ragland, and his brothers, Josiyah Steinmetz, Spencer Medler, and Kamren Ragland. He now joins his siblings Jordin Ragland, My Angel, SB, and Lucky, who preceded him in death. His family will forever cherish his memory and the immense joy he brought into their lives, however short-lived. The services to celebrate Steffon's life are under the direction of Heritage Mortuary.
