Obituary for Sharon Allen

Sharon Denise Allen was born February 26, 1975, in Las Vegas, NV to the late Sylvester Smith, Jr. and Emma Jean Terry. She always had southern roots and would often claim Utica, MS as the place she was from, “her home.” She accepted Christ in her life at the New Light Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John Henry. Sharon received her education through the Clark County School District. She graduated in the class of 1993 from Cheyenne High School.

Sharon entered the workforce working in the Fast-Food Industry. She worked her way up to becoming a manager at the Arby’s located in North Las Vegas on Lake Mead. Sharon later went on to work various other jobs until she was no longer physically able to work. She then in her own right became an in-home child and adult care provider to numerous children and adults. Sharon decided to continue her education and studied at the College of Southern NV for the past two years.

After a long-lasting relationship together, Sharon and Daimen Allen, the father of her two children, wed on February 26, 1999, and divorced on June 25, 2003. He had love for her and her first born child she entered into the relationship with. Sharon was the life of the party. In her pastime, she loved to listen to music, dance, and laugh. She was full of love and showed it to all who came in her presence. Sharon always welcomed others into her home with open arms, no judgement and lots of love and care. Though she had love for her children, her brother, family, and friends, she most adored and loved her grandchildren.

Sharon has reunited with her parents Sylvester and Emma in eternity and leaves her children Ky’ Mokaa Ealy, Khadesia (Gerald) Allen-Hinton, and Daimen (Johnishia) Allen, Jr. to carry on and build upon the foundational platform she instilled in them, and soar higher to reach greater depths as they remember her and care for her grandchildren: Ja’Vory Hansbrough, Cory Hansbrough, Jr. , Ky’Mory Hansbrough, Queen Hansbrough, Jere’ Mias Schaffer, Dakari Harris, Ny’ Keriel Harris, Baby Hinton(unborn), Da’ Syiah Allen and Aubreii Allen. All her offspring resides in Las Vegas, NV.

To cherish her memories she leaves one brother, Henry Terry, one god-son, Courtney Brown, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends all of Nevada, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.
