Obituary for Aazam Yusuf Aaron Bell

Aazam "Zoomie" Bell-Robertson was born on May 15, 2015, to his parents, Joey Robertson and Brandi Bell. he weighed only two pounds and eight ounces. From the second he was born, he lived up to the true meaning of his name,.."The Greatest."

Doctors and nurses did not expect him to live. There was a bereavement kit in the delivery room for Aazam, but he defied all odds. Aazam had many surgeries throughout his short life. At just five days old, he received his first surgery to repair his little tummy. He spent six months in the neonatal intensive care unit. He came home with a feeding tube. It was removed when he was three years old.

Aazam started school on his 3rd birthday. He was so smart. He quickly learned American Sign Language. Everyone loved him, to include his teachers and his classmates.

At the age of six, he has been through more than the average adult. He faced many health complications. He underwent eight major surgeries, numerous blood transfusions, and numerous tests and procedures. Throughout his life he was placed on life on life support a total of five times.

The hospital quickly became his home away from home. Despite the unfortunate cards he was dealt, he always proved everyone wrong. God had a different plan for him. He was truly a fighter always beating the odds-a-miracle.

Aazam never let his health issues get in his way or hold him back from doing anything. He was as normal as any six-year-old can be. Aazam was truly a gift from God. If you did not get a chance to meet him, you missed out.

He was a happy, and loving little boy who loved everything batman. He loved to sing and dance. He was an amazing big/little brother to each of his siblings.

Aazam had a loving personality that you cold not help but love. He had style. He knew he was "Super Fly."

Rest in paradise, my Aazam!
