Obituary for Panita Irene Davis

Panita Irene Davis was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 8, 1966, to proud parents, Jerome Davis, Sr. and Eula Mae Brooks.

Panita accepted Christ into her life at an early age and maintained her devotion throughout her life. She was a praying soul, who fostered every relationship with love, care, and much affection.

Panita received her early education from the Chicago Public Schools. She went on to continue her higher education in Kentucky; first graduating from Construction school, then working several years before seeking early retirement. In May 2019, she obtained her Associate's Degree and was in pursuit of her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Panita was always seeking to be progressive. She never settled and loved accomplishing new goals.

Panita was a loving and devoted mother to her children, Tyeeca and TyShaunn. She loved them unconditionally with much adoration and always wanted the best for them. She was a loving grandmother and great grandmother as well. Always seeking to shower those she cared for with much endearment and sweet fondness.

Panita lived a fulfilled life. She was a social being with a loyal and vibrant spirit. Her joyful essence was often the life of every party and her huge heart attracted many,

Her involvement at church was evident as she was a member of the church's prayer group and participated in organizing outings for senior church members. Panita always sought to help anyone in need and opened her heart and wallet to everyone, To know Panita was to have a forever friend and a new relative because, she never met a stranger. Panita's endearment for others was always expressed through her affectionate renaming and nicknames she gave everyone. Panita's greatest loyalty was to her family. She had a way of making everyone feel special, as if they were a favorite.

She met her eternal rest on Sunday, November 22, 2020. Panita is preceded in death by her mother, Eula Mae Brooks; both grandmothers, Lelar M. Sanders and Irene Harris; both grandfathers; Asa Sanders and Elijah Harris and her daughter, Tashana Davis.

Panita leaves to cherish her memories, her father, Jerome Davis, two children: Tyeeca Davis and TyShaunn Davis, 10 siblings; Excell (Taconna) Hazzard, Michel Kellogg, Mark Kellogg (Keisha), Dionne (Anthony) Alexander, Bernneta (Zack) Ford, Jerome Davis Jr., Ramone Foster, Aaron Clarks, and Tyronna Debose; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; twenty-three nieces; ten nephews; six aunts; four uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.

Panita Irene Davis, you will forever live in our hearts. You will be remembered for the love you had for your family and your friends.
