Obituary for Karen Sarae
Karen Hatsumi Sarae passed at 11:18 a.m. on October 8, 2019 at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Henderson, NV.
She was born Karen Hatsumi Mizusawa on November 24, 1948 at Kahuku Hospital on the North Shore of Oahu, HI. She was the eldest of 4 – Janice Kobashigawa, Jean Santiago, and Nelson Mizusawa all of whom reside in Hawaii. She is also survived by her 2 children, Antoinette “TONI” Stephens (husband Bart) and Robert “BOBBY” Sarae (wife Keiko) and 1 grandson, Lyric Sarae.
After many years in the escrow business, Karen moved to Las Vegas with her mother, Judy and her daughter in 2000. She continued to be involved with real estate while in Nevada, but as a Recorder Technician with the Clark County Recorder’s office until her retirement in 2012.
While in retirement, Karen enjoyed cooking/baking foods she saw while watching shows on the Food Network, reading the weekly celebrity magazines, and caring for her “tails” (dogs Sunny & Delilah and cat Neko).
In accordance with Karen’s final wishes, a service has not been scheduled.
