In Loving Memory of David Roy Ross Jr.

David Roy Ross Jr. was born on December 24, 1950, in Gary, Indiana to Lucy (Roberson) Ross and the late David Roy Ross Sr.

David Roy Ross Jr. joined Trinity Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. One hidden fact about David was that no one knew he always carried a bible in his backpack.
 
While in Gary, Indiana, David Roy Ross Jr. attended Lincoln Elementary, Beckman Junior High and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School , Class of 1968. After graduating from high school, he went on to pursue his education at Idaho State University where he received his Bachelor of Education. He then continued on to Drake University where he received his Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. David was also a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
 
David Roy Ross Jr. was employed by Clark County School District for 32 years until his retirement. Then he transitioned to become a substitute educator. While being affiliated with Clark County School District for over 30 years, Coach Ross “Pops” was passionate about teaching and coaching. He was a great leader and winner, who changed and molded the lives of thousands. His lasting impression will live amongst many forever.
 
David Roy Ross Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: Lucy Ross (mother), Philip Ross (brother), Nikkole Ross (daughter), Shaunisty Nida (daughter), Daveron Ross (son), Mishelle Ruffin (granddaughter), Nicholas Ross (grandson), Treyson Ross (grandson), Trumaine Ross (nephew) and a host of relatives, family, friends and many others.
