Obituary for Judith E. Lewis

Judith E. Lewis
Judy was born September 3, 1940 in the small town of Honokaa on the Island of Hawaii to Manuel Sumpaio (Silva) and Helen Gomes. She lived with her Grandfather until the age of twelve when she moved to Honolulu on the island of Oahu where she continued her schooling and later worked at the Dole Cannery processing pineapples.

Sometime after that, she met and married Stanley Silva. That marriage produced two Children, Helen and Carrol. Her first marriage ended in divorce. Judy met William L. Lewis at the wedding reception of one of her girlfriends.
She couldn’t stand him at first, but things like that have a way of turning around. In June of 1964 they were married. This marriage produced 3 children, Tracy, William III and Eric.

More than a loving mother, Judy was the Sunshine Lady with the Vegas High Rollers RV Chapter of the Good Sam Club providing solace for chapter members facing crisis situations. She loved helping others. She enjoyed travelling, shopping, fishing, board games, card games, and games of chance. Judy spent 10 years working in housekeeping at Nellis Air force Base billeting.

Judy and William’s marriage lasted 53 and one half years before she passed. They shared a long, loving and wonderful life together. Judy leaves to mourn her husband William, her five children, Helen Carrol, Tracy, William III and Eric, one sister Maxine, one brother Glenn, two brothers-in law, three sisters-in law, 13 Grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Though she is gone and will be deeply missed, she will never be forgotten for she will always be in our hearts.
WE LOVE OUR JUDY!
