Sorry to have read about the passing of your loved one. Death is such a cruel and terrible enemy of mankind. I know that at this most painful time there is very little I can say to comfort you. However, when you have a moment please reflect on this wonderful promise here at Hosea 13:14. It says in part, " From the power of the grave I will redeem them; from death I will recover them."
