Message to the Family: december 22, 2017.. the day of my first funeral.. the day i watched them lay my grandma to rest forever.. a day that will always be a vivid memory, just like today: the 13th. december 13th i received the worst phone call i could've ever gotten... you were gone. i miss you dearly grandma.. and im so sad you're gone, but im so happy you're in a much better place now. it blows my mind that 6 months have passed and i haven't heard your voice.. idk how ive made it this long without you... i love you. im always in your heart, and you are always in mine. ❤ "god saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, 'come to me.' with tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away.. and although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay. a golden heart has stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. god broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best."

Message to the Family: On December 13th, 2017 the world and I, lost such an amazing human: Judith Elaine Lewis. My Grandma was a scary lady, but she was also the sweetest. She was stubborn, hard-headed, and about as blunt as can be (must be where I get it from)... but she was also the strongest person I've had the privilege of knowing. Grandma always made sure you had food in your belly, clean clothes on your back, or jeans without holes (Grandma and Papa always made fun of me for them, or my mismatched socks, haha). She was a best friend to everybody: Always gossiping.. always wanting to shop, always wanting to paint nails, look at jewelry, play games, goodness did she lloooovveee games. I remember staying with her for a month and everyday I was up early (8a.m. because anything past 8 meant you had already slept all day) playing Kismet.. Papa must've printed a couple hundred score sheets for us because my word, we'd play from 8a.m. to 12a.m. and we'd do it all over again the next day! When i was 6, my mom and I, moved away from my whole family: so I learned how it felt to miss someone.. but I also knew it was temporary and would come to an end when we visited. Ever since I can remember my Grandma would tell me, "I love you, and you are always where?" and I would respond with, 'in your heart' since I obviously couldn't be there physically.. It's hard to grasp and understand the fact she's physically no longer here, and that I will forever miss her... but I always have her in my heart, and I will always be in hers. The hurt and heartbreak will forever live on within many over this loss, but with time it will heal little by little. You will never be forgotten Grandma. We all loved and love you so much, even though sometimes it was hard to show. You have been the best Grandma I could've ever asked for and I can't even explain to you how much I'm going to miss you. I wish you could've made it to my wedding day, or the day I decided to have kids... you know we all wanted you to live forever, and we even believed it. But I know you're happy and no longer in pain, and that's the most important thing that keeps me going. I love you with all of my heart, and I hope you knew that. ❤
